
The NIHR Global Health Research Group was proud to support ICRAN 2018 with several of our members, collaborators and partners in the organising and programme committees.
The International Conference on Recent Advances in Neurotraumatology (ICRAN), took place in Naples, Italy on June 20-22, 2018 under the auspices of EANS.
ICRAN is the international scientific forum of the Neurotraumatology Committee (NTC) of World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS) where the problem and controversies about neurotrauma could be discussed in order to provide new solutions closely related to the health of population on Earth.
ICRAN-2018 brought together neurotrauma specialists from all over the world. The growing needs of emerging countries, the location of resources, the educational demand for all young neurosurgeons, a program of progressive guidelines, the actual controversies on traumatic spine and brain injury, the therapeutical issues of coagulopathies in emergency patients, the new scientific social networks were discussed in an international scenario to share ideas, and experiences. Additionally the Consensus Conference on Cranioplasty for TBI patients was completed. The pre-congress “hands on” courses provided a chance to meet the experts and to share knowledge.
